Power Crisis: Don’t force us to come on roads threatens Traders of Ganderbal

GANDERBAL: Business fraternity of Ganderbal town are up in arms against PDD for failure to provide adequate and scheduled power supply to business hub of main market Ganderbal in Central Kashmir.
According to traders PDD installed 630 KV transformer few years ago. The transform is not able to cater the needs of about 700 consumer in main market.
Traders are demanding additional 200 KV transformer, which they said could improve voltage to some extent in the market.
Gulam Hassan Parra, President of Traders federation Ganderbal Said ,”Our business has badly effected due to extremely low voltage and Incessant curtailments. We will come on roads to protest if our demands are not met.”
“I am in loses due to extremely low voltage and curtailments beyond schedule. The voltage some time dips to 10 volts. We can’t even charge mobile phone on this voltage. PDD Should pay heed to our problems” Tahir Ahmad, an entrepreneur, who has set up a unit in the main market Beehama Ganderbal told while talking with Valley Online.
“Traders should use electricity judiciously. We have provided transformer in the market according to power load. If there is feasibility to install a transformer, they should write to chief engineer PDD for the same.”executive engineer PDD Ganderbal Javid Hussain, told Valley Online.
