DIC organizes Awareness Cum Exhibition Camp at Kangan

GANDERBAL: District Industries Centre (DIC), Ganderbal today organized one day awareness cum exhibition camp for unemployed youth of District Ganderbal under Prime Minister Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP) and Micro Small and Medium Enterprise Programmes (MSME) at Dak Bunglow, Kangan, Ganderbal.
District Development Commissioner, Ganderbal, Dr. Piyush Singla was the Chief Guest on the occasion. He was also accompanied by SSP Ganderbal, Fayaz Ahmad Lone on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, the DDC stressed upon the youth to take advantage of the employment oriented schemes aged by government from time to time. He said there is a vast potential in private sector to develop the small industries. He also emphasized upon the concerned officers to conduct more such awareness programme especially in Rural and far flung areas so that more and more youth can be benefited.
The DDC later inspected the stalls installed by different unit holders. He also interacted with the unit holders and appreciated their work. He assured them every possible help would be provided to all those unemployed educated youth who are interested in venturing in industries sector.
The General Manager DIC, Mrs. Bilquees, in her speech, briefed about the activities of the department. He also informed the participants about various activities (Manufacturing/Service) covered under the PMEGP along with eligibility criteria and other schemes/incentives being available to the entrepreneur from the Industries and Commerce Department.
Large number of educated unemployed youth, students and locals of kangan area participated in the event and were informed about various self employment generation schemes available with the Employment, Handloom, Handicraft and other concerned departments.
