DDC G’bal holds interaction meet with Civil Society, Traders Union Kangan

GANDERBAL: The District Development Commissioner Ganderbal, Hashmat Ali Khan today interacted with the Civil Society and Traders Union of Tehsil Kangan at Tehsil office and took first hand redressal of public grievances and demands.
During the interaction, members of Civil Society and Traders Union meet the DDC and address several genuine demands of people of the area and various developmental issues in Tehsil Kangan.
With regard to developmental needs, a detailed charter of demands was presented to the DDC by the locals relating to the various issues confronting them.
Speaking on the occasion, the DDC said that the holding the interaction meet is aimed at bringing closer to the people and establishing an effective and responsive administration in the district.
The DDC stressed on the officers to personally visit and take stock of works of ongoing developmental projects and ensure their timely work completion for the general public.
Referring to public demands, like improvement in road connectivity, power supply, shifting of Boys Hr. Sec. School Kangan to its new site, health care and other facilities, the DDC assured that their genuine demands and issues would be addressed in a time-bound manner.
SSP Ganderbal, while addressing the participants, impressed upon them not to heed the rumors circulated through social media or other means and Strict action under law shall be taken against rumour mongers who use social networking sites, he added.
Among others, ADDC Ganderbal, Shafqat Iqbal, SDM Kangan, Masrat Hashim, Tehsildar Kangan and other Tehsil level departmental heads and officers were also present on the occasion.
