Train service suspended in Kashmir for ‘security reasons’
SRINAGAR: Train service has been suspended on Friday for “security reasons” in the Kashmir valley, where pro-freedom leadership has decided to hold a rally in Anantnag in south Kashmir today.
“We have suspended all train runs in the Kashmir valley for security reasons following advisory from the police”, a railway official told UNI.
He said no train will chug on Srinagar-Badgam in the central Kashmir to Baramulla in north.
Similarly no train will run on Srinagar-Anantnag-Qazigund in south Kashmir and Banihal in Jammu region.
