Traffic Police City Srinagar Launched Drive against Overloading/Two Wheelers.
SRINAGAR:Traffic Police City Srinagar Launched a drive against Overloading, Two Wheelers and other visible offences by the Traffic Offenders.
SSP Traffic City Srinagar Sh Tahir Gillani JKPS told that We are only trying for better alternatives to make sure that the traffic mess and the violations minimizes to a very large extent.
“The drive will get stringent with time as it will help us in getting the desired results. With the growing number of vehicles, we have to be extra cautious,” Said SSP Tahir Gillani.
ASP Traffic City Srinagar Sh Mubashir Hussain said that it has been observed that the bikers especially youth resorts to Traffic Violations e.g. tripple riding & riding without crash helmet. “In order to ensure safety/security of the bikers and with a view to check this menace effectively, Special drive had been started by traffic city Srinagar,” ASP Said.
Traffic Police City Srinagar Constituted different teams to conduct the checking at important crossings and Traffic points in the City-Centre.
In order to keep a check on violations of Traffic Rules in outskirts of Srinagar City, A team of Traffic Police led by DySP (T) City west Sh Raies Ahmad laid down various Nakas alongwith DTI Inspr Ranbir Singh to check the traffic violations and Challaned number of vehicles in different offences and also seized various Two Wheelers.
DySP (T) City South, Sh Sajjad Ahmad Sheikh laid down a Traffic Naka alongwith SO (T) ASI Farooq Ahmad at Sonwar to check the traffic violations and Prosecuted various traffic Offenders under different offences.
DySP (T) City North Sh Mohd Farooq Reshi laid down Traffic Naka alongwith SO (T) SI Mudassir Ahmad at Jahangir Chowk and Booked various traffic Violators under different offences of Traffic Rules.
The Drive was Supervised by ASP Traffic Sh Mubashir Hussain JKPS, under the overall supervision of SSP Traffic City Srinagar Sh Tahir Gillani JKPS.
