Traders decry over poor drainage system in Kangan market

KANGAN: Scores of traders and local residents today alleged that Adminstration is only making promises in Kangan without doing anything on ground.
They alleged that failure of drainage system in Kangan market has put shopkeepers on toes.
Manzoor Ahmad Lone a shopkeeper in Kangan market and organiser of Civil Society Kangan said that only Dak Banglow (Rest House) Kangan is still under shambles and the entry has blocked due to the wastage material came through drain.
He said that the office of R&B department is at the sane premises who are themselves not able to enter the office due to over flow and other wastage came from market.
Locals alleged that they have already taken this issue with senior officials but unfortunately nothing has been done so far.
Ghulam Mohanmad Dar a local residents said that “we are not able to sleep whole night due the threat of overflow coming through the drain”
Meanwhile President Traders Assocation Kangan Ghulam Rasool alleged that adminstration has neglected kangan market and poor drainage system has become headache for hundreds of shopkeepers and other local residents.
He also alleged that poor drainage system has led to the losses for shopkeepers in the market.
Despite repeated attempts to contact SDM Kangan for comments remains unfruitful.
