Tehreek-ul-Mujahideen pays tribute to slain Hakoora militants
Says Eesa was its district commander
SRINAGAR: Tehreek-ul-Mujahideen (TeM) on Monday paid tributes to the three slain militants who were killed in an encounter that raged between forces and militants in Hakoora area of Anantnag district.
In an e-mailed statement issued to KNS, TeM spokesperson said that two among the three slain militants were affiliated with Tehreek-ul-Mujahideen while among them was associated with Hizb.
He identified two of its militants as District commander TeM, Muhammad Ahsan Fazli, son of Muhammad Nayeem Fazli alias Eesa of Soura Srinagar and his associate Sabzar Ahmed Sofi of Islamabad.
The spokespersons said that the third militant identified as Syed Owais Shafi of Kokernag was affiliated with Hizb.
“The militants were asked to surrender prior to the gunfight but they resist and fought with the forces during which they killed and maimed scores among them and damaged their vehicles as well,” the spokesperson said as per the statement issued to KNS.
According to the statement, the outfit chief, Sheikh Jameel-ur-Rehman, and other commanders paid tribute to the slain militants.
