Self Riders cricket tournament begins at Tral

TRAL: The self riders T20 cricket tournament started with great enthusiasm and exhilaration on Wednesday at green park cricket stadium, in Bajwani area of South Kashmir’s Tral.
A colorful inaugural function took place in which first two teams participated besides scores of spectators from ITI Tral and nearby areas.
The first match was played between ITI Tral and Rathsuna Eleven, which was won by Rathsuna Eleven team.
On the occasion, Sports section members of ITI Tral, who are organising this tournament have said that such events will boost youngsters and will help them to develop their cricketing skills besides help us to know about their particular skills.
“The tournament provides an opportunity for the budding cricketers of Tral to rub shoulders and compete with their cricketing counterparts from other districts” Muzamil Ahmad, one of the organisers said.
He said that this tournament will provide a strong platform for emerging young players and improving the standard of sports and helping in their overall personality development and such events will be organised in future as well.
While players appreciated and thanked the organizers and said that such tournaments should be organized in future also.
Meanwhile, Young Journalist from Tral Basharat Rashid was chief guest while as Supervisor ITI Tral, Mohammad Iqbal, was guest of honour on that occasion.
