PDD fails to repair damaged transformers of Ganderbal villages

GANDERBAL: Two villages of Central Kashmirs Ganderbal district are deprived of electricity for the last one month.
According to the locals, the electricity transformer of Gujjar Pati Hayan Of Kangan tehsil was damaged a month ago, which has been taken to the work shop by employees of the power development for repairment, but still did not repair the transformer and return to the area due to which the local population is facing difficulties.
A local resident Mushtaq Ahmed said that they asked the department several times to repair the damaged transformer of the said area,But no concrete action has been taken in this regard yet.
He said that the village has about 100 house holds consisting of about 1000 population and departmeht has only given the 100 kv transformer for the area, which is insufficient.
The people of Poshkar Kangan have accused the department of electricity that their area of 100kv electricity transformer has deteriorated last month, which has been taken to repair, but after a month’s time, the area’s electricity transformer has not been repaired and installed in the said area due to which the local population is suffering from difficulties.
The local people have appealed to the district administration to intervene in this regard.
