Parts of Sopore shut, internet services suspended
SOPORE: North Kashmir’s Sopore township is observing a partial shutdown on Friday to mourn the killing of a local militant in Shopian.
Reports said that a local ISJK militant Ishfaq Ahmed Sofi was killed in a gunfight with government forces at Amshipora area of Shopian district earlier today.
Meanwhile, as precautionary measure authorities have closed all educational institutions including colleges and higher secondary schools in sub-division Sopore.
While in wake of the killing, authorities suspended internet services also in parts of Sopore.
