Light Snowfall, rain likely in next 24 hours: Dir MeT
Says no forecast of heavy snowfall in plains
SRINAGAR: There is no forecast of heavy snowfall in plains while moderate to heavy snowfall is likely in upper mountainous regions, according to Meteorological Department (MeT).
Director MeT, Sonam Lotus said there will be rains with light spells of snowfall in the Valley’s plains in the next 24 hours. However, afterwards the weather will remain dry.
“It will be cloudy, but the weather will be dry,” he told.
However, Lotus said in mountainous regions there are still chances of heavy snowfall, while in plains, it will rain and there can be spells of light snow which will melt soon after falling.
