Kreeri shuts on first death anniversary of Syed Shujaat Bukhari
SRINAGAR: A partial shutdown is being observed in Kreeri area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district to mark the first death anniversary of Syed Shujaat Bukhari.
Most of the shops and other business establishments remained closed in the town while public transport is off the roads.
The founding editor of Rising Kashmir Syed Shujaat Bukhari and his two security personnel were killed on June 14, 2018, by unidentified gunmen outside his office at Press Enclave, Srinagar.
Hundreds of people visited the graveyard of slain Shujaat and offered Fateha and prayers for him. Many people also visited his home to pay their tributes.
