JKBOSE looking for ‘feasible mode’ to declare 10th, 12th results
Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) representatives Wednesday said the department was mulling to find feasible mode to declare results of 10th and 12th standard in view of internet clampdown in Kashmir valley.
JKBOSE Chairman Veena Pandita said the board was indecisive about the mode of declaration of results.
“As of now, we have not decided anything as to how we will declare results of annual board exams of 10th and 12th standard,” she said.
The BOSE Chairman said the department had several options to declare results.
“We are still thinking how and when the results will be declared. We have 2 to 4 options to execute as a mode of declaring results. In due time we will notify the platform of results,” Pandita said.
On August 5, internet and mobile service connectivity in Kashmir was snapped following the abrogation of Article 370.
Meanwhile, Rising Kashmir received number of calls from 10th and 12th standard students asking to request the JKBOSE authorities keep the internet gag in view and notify the results through gazettes.
One of the 10th standard students, Sahil said, “Besides online, JKBOSE should keep gazettes in consideration as well.”
In absence of internet, thousands of students cannot check results online.
