J&K Police of Kathua district arrested two notorious thieves ,Gold and silver items worth Rs 2.5 Lakhs recovered.
KATHUA:In Kathua district District Police Kathua in a major breakthrough in theft incidents in Billawar causing a panic all around in the recent past.
Team of Police station Billawar arrested two thieves identified as
Shakoor Ahmed S/o Mohd ayub R/o Malhar Morha nelhew and Tara Chand S/o Indru ram R/o Malti Billawar involved in theft incidents recently committed by them in the jurisdiction of Police Station Billawar .
Police recovered gold and silver ornaments worth Rs 2.5 lakhs upon their disclosure.
Both the thieves admitted their prime involvement in two theft incidents in Dewal and Malti village in Billawar for which two FIR no 31/2019 u/s 454/380 RPC and 35/2019 u/s 454/380 RPC stands registered in Police Station Billawar.
Sustained questioning and investigation revealed that these two thieves were also involved in two major theft incidents in the jurisdiction of Police Station Kathua for which FIR nos 159/2017,263/2017 both u/s 454/380 RPC stands registered in Police Station Kathua.
Police is also investigating for their involvement in theft incidents not only in Kathua District but other parts of the state and across the Inter-state border as well and also expecting more arrest in the follow up action.
