IPL 2020: Glenn Maxwell, Aaron Finch among 332 shortlisted players

The Indian Premier League management has trimmed down the original list of 971 players to 332 for the IPL 2020 auctions to be held scheduled for December 19 in Kolkata. The final list was sent to all the 8 franchises.
According to media reports, the final list consists of 19 Indian capped players with 24 new players also added to the list, including West Indies pacer Kesrick Williams, Bangladesh captain Mushfiqur Rahim and legspinner Adam Zampa, and 21-year-old Surrey batsman Will Jacks, who had smoked a 25-ball century in a pre-season T10 match against Lancashire in the UAE.
The IPL 2020 auction, which will be a one-day affair, will have a total of 73 slots to be filled by the eight franchises, of which 29 could be foreign players.
Among the Indians, Robin Uthappa, who was released by Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), has the highest base price of INR 1.5 crore, while Jaydev Unadkat, who was the most expensive Indian player at the last auction after Rajasthan Royals paid INR 8.4 cr, has brought his base price down to INR 1 crore from INR 1.5 crore.
Among overseas players, Australian all-rounder Glenn Maxwell is expected to grab a hefty amount of auction day. He is among the seven players, including fast bowler Pat Cummins Josh Hazlewood Mitchell Marsh, Dale Steyn, and Angelo Mathews – to list their base price at the maximum of INR 2 crore.
The first set of players to go for the auction consists of seven batsmen which include Aaron Finch, Chris Lynn, Jason Roy, Eoin Morgan, and Robin Uthappa, according to media reports. Maxwell, Chris Morris, and Pat Cummins are all expected to be part of the second set of players.
