Indo-Pak armies exchange gunfire along LoC in Nowshera
SRINAGAR: Heavy exchange of cross-border firing took place between the armies of India and Pakistan along the Line of Control (LoC) in Nowshera area of Rajouri district on Saturday.
Sources said that cross-border firing started at 12:30 PM today. Both the armies, they said, resorted to the use of small arms and mortars in Kalsian and Jhanger areas.
The firing and shelling was going on when last reports poured in.
An army spokesman said that Pakistan initiated an unprovoked ceasefire violation around 12:30 PM.
He said the Indian army is retaliating strongly and effectively.
