India-Pak troops trade fire along LoC in Nowshera Sector

SRINAGAR: Indian and Pakistani armies exchanged gunfire with small arms and mortar shelling along the Line of Control (LoC) in Nowshera sector of Rajouri district on Friday.
Pakistani troops violated ceasefire along the Line of Control in Nowshera sector of Jammu and Kashmir, using small arms fire and intense mortar shelling to target Indian positions, a defence spokesman said on Friday.
“Today at about 10:45 am, Pakistan initiated unprovoked ceasefire violation by firing with small arms & intense shelling with mortars along LoC in Nowshera Sector, Rajouri district.,” the spokesman said.
He said Indian Army is retaliating and giving befitting response to the ceasefire violation.
There were no immediate reports about any casualties or injuries in the incident.
