Hajin villages Shut to protest civilian killings
HAJIN: Complete shutdown is being witnessed in several villages of Hajin including in Preng against the brutal killing of a civilian on Friday morning.
Mohammad Yaqoob Wagey was allegedly killed brutally infront of his family members including children by unknown gunmen.Though Police blamed Lashker e Toiba for the killing,however, an unconfirmed audio surfaced on social media attributed to Lashker e Toiba in which the speaker denied their role in civilian killings.
Locals said audio surfaced after people including Imams during friday cermons condmened the killings and asked Lashker to clear their stand regarding the killing.
Fear has gripped the entire Hajin village as atleast eight brutal killings have been witnessed in the area since last year including five killings this month only.
Witneses said shops and schools havr been shut in the village to protest killing while youth burned tyres on roads to block traffic movement on the roads.
Earlier Minister for Public Works Naeem Akthar has asked the Police to investigate the killing on fast track basis.
