Govt Women’s ITI Kangan occupied by forces, students suffer

GANDERBAL: Govt Women’s industrial training institute (ITI) located in Margund Kangan an area of central Kashmir’s District Ganderbal, occupied by forces in August last Year, after the abrogation of Article 370 and 35A remains continue.
Scores of Educational institutions in Kashmir were taken over by the paramilitary forces, later on they were evacuated, however Women’s ITI Kangan is still under occupation of paramilitary forces.
A female student said, forces have partially occupied two of our buildings, and one fully (a two story building) of our institution, our education is badly affected.
Adding that Draftsman civil, Early childhood educator, hand ambrodory class rooms are still under occupation, security bunkers are being erected outside main entrance, how can we study when there are forces inside our class rooms, most of students are not attending classes.
Students have appealed LT Governor of J&K to look into the matter and take necessary step to evacuate these forces as soon as possible so that the students can resume their classes.
When contacted Superintendent Women’s ITI Kangan GN Shah, he said i have taken up the matter several times with Higher authorities, but nothing has been done yet.
Despite many attempts to contact Deputy commissioner Ganderbal Shafqat Iqbal for comments remains unfruitful.
