Forces allegedly ransack house of Riyaz Naikoo’s relatives
SRINAGAR: Forces allegedly went berserk in Beighpora village of Awantipora in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district and ransacked the house of one of the close relatives of Hizbul Mujahideen commander, Riyaz Naikoo.
Reports said the joint contingent of government forces on late last night barged inside the houses two brothers, Nisar Ahmad, and Nazir Ahmad and allegedly ransacked their belongings.
They said that JCB was also pressed into service to dig up the few places.
SHO Awantipora said that there were inputs that a hideout was there at the house so searches were conducted.
He denied the allegations of ransacking of houses.
