BANDIPORA: Department of food safety today organised
food safety awareness program at government girls higher secondary school Bandipora, the students were apprised about the food safety issues and good storage practices.
The stress was made on use of oils, facts, sugar and salt, students were made aware about the high use of oils, fats, sugar and salt in our daily preparations.
Stress was made to use less salt, less sugar, less fats and less oils during preparing food by which good health can be achieved.
The students were also apprised the benefits of using fortified food items, stress was made to purchase and make habit to purchase only fortified edible oil, Flour, Salt etc which is freely available in the market which can give additional victims to our food.
The students were give demonstration how to make simples food tests at home in the mobile food testing van which was made available at the school along with technical persons.
Such programs will continues to be organised in district Bandipora as per the statement by Designated officer food safety Yameen un Nabi.
