First Covid-19 patient tested negative, recovers
SRINAGAR: Director Sher-e-Kashmir Institute of Medical Science (SKIMS) on Sunday confirmed that the first Covid-19 confirmed case been tested negative and said the patient is still under observation.
According to Kashmir News Service, the woman patient from Khanyar who was first COVID-19 case from Kashmir Valley had travel history and had returned from Saudi Arabia after performing Umrah. She while arriving Kashmir had stayed at number of places and met several relatives and neighbors.
A doctor at SKIMS Soura confirmed that the said patient who was earlier tested positive has fully recovered from Corona Virus pandemic.
“The 65-year old lady has fully recovered as her fresh test has come positive recently”, doctor said.
Meanwhile Director SKIMS, Dr A G Ahangar maintained that woman patient is keeping well. Her latest test has been found negative. He added the patient is still quarantined and free from Covid-19 disease.
He appealed people to take all precautions and stay indoors while combating this deadly pandemic.
“There is no need to go panic. We can break the chain if we keep ourselves confined into indoors and maintain social distancing”, Dr Ahanagar said.
