Fake Job racket busted, three arrested, more arrestees expected: Police
Several documents including Passport and Services book Seized
GANDERBAL: Ganderbal Police today busted a fake job racket and arrested three persons who were allegedly duping people on the pretext of providing jobs in government departments against heavy cash payments.
“Acting on a complaint lodged at the Safapora Police Station here, the police started investigation into the fake job racket which led to the arrest of three persons Reyaz Ahmad Bhat resident of Shopian, Amir Ahmad Resident of Safapora and Rouf Ahmad Mir resident of Budgam who had cheated two girls by providing them fake certificates and have promised them Govt Jobs” SSP Ganderbal Fayaz Ahmad Lone said during press conference at District Police headquarters in Ganderbal.
He said a special investigation team (SIT) was formed in regard, which arrested the three accused persons and recovered the material used by them.
“During investigation, it was learnt that one more person is Ashiq Ahmad Jagoo Resident of Srinagar is involved in the scam, who had formed a gang and were duped dozens of unemployed youth,” SSP said.
Ahmad added that ” police also recovered fake appointment letters, relieving and transfer orders and service books with fake seal and signature of government officials”.
“Police are looking for four other person Ashiq Ahmad who are believed to be the masterminds in the scam,” he said.
Police also raided a documentation centre where fake appointment letters and identity cards, service Books were being printed, all the material used for printing was seized” sources told Valley Online.
In addition SSP Ganderbal strongly advised the parents as well as unemployed youth that be always caution about these gangs in future.
An FIR has been registered in this case 42/2017 under section 420, 46, 468, 471 and 120-B at Police station Safapora and investigations are going on.
