SDM assures strict action against violators
GANDERBAL: Most of the coaching centers operating in Central Kashmir’s Ganderbal District have been violating the rules implemented by the concerned department.
Reports said that most of the Coaching Centers are without registration and those who have been granted provisional recognition are violating the norms.
In December High Court asked the Divisional Commissioners of Kashmir and Jammu to constitute a team of two officers to inspect these institutions and seal those who are violating norms but nothing has came out.
According to a government order, private coaching centres have to reserve 10 percent of seats for the destitute, orphans and the students living below poverty line but here they are being forced to pay the fee.
When this reporter visited few coaching centers in Kangan he saw the violation was an eye opening for the general public.
The facilities and the staff which these coaching centers display during Advertisement is far away from the reality.
“We gave free education to all the students who are enrolled in this Institution and we are working for education department not for Media” coordinator of a coaching center in Kangan told our correspondent.
This coaching center has also Advertised about coaching center but in reality there is not such facilities in the center.
Students said that most of them have paid fees in Advance and now the staff isn’t teaching them in a good way.
Reliable sources said that the list which was recommended from Ganderbal CEO Office for free education to different coaching centers of Srinagar contains students from economically sound families and even some parents are govt employees.
Despite repeated calls to CEO Ganderbal on his mobile phone he didn’t received the phone and even his office landline number was kept on hang after learning a call from Media.
Meanwhile SDM Kangan has assured strict actions against those who violate the norms and appealed parents to file complaint in his office.
