Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal Launches PM_KSN in District
GANDERBAL: The District Development Commissioner Ganderbal, Hashmat Ali Khan today launched Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KSN) at an event organized in the premises of Agricultural Complex Duderhama Ganderbal.
At the national level, the scheme was formally launched by the Prime Minister.
The event was attended by the ADDC Ganderbal, Shafqat Iqbal, Joint Director Planning, Chief Agricultural Officer, District Agricultural Officer, field functionaries of the department, Panches, Sarpanchs besides large number of farmers attended the function.
During the event the officials acquitted the gathering about the silent features of the scheme.
Highlighting the benefits of the scheme, the DDC said the Scheme is meant for the marginalized and poor farmers that can benefit the farmer community in broader context. Through this scheme eligible farmers will get Rs 6000 annually in three installments directly in their bank accounts and farmers can utilize that money for procurement of agricultural related tools and fertilizers, he added.
On the occasion, DDC handed symbolic certificates/sanction orders to several eligible farmers who will avail the benefits of the scheme.
The District Agricultural Officer informed that 27000 eligible farmer families have been uploaded in the district who will be benefited by this scheme.
Similar events were also organized at Agriculture complex block of Kangan and Tulmulla.
