Delhi woman dupes 100 Sonipat men on pretext of marriage
SONIPAT: About 100 unmarried men were taken for a ride by a Delhi-based women who duped them of Rs 45,000 each on the pretext of helping them tie the knot at an ‘ashram’ with a girl of their choice.
According to a report published in Navbharat Times, the complainants waited for five hours in their wedding attire for a bus that was expected to ferry them to Delhi. The vehicle didn’t turned up.
Feeling cheated, the men lodged a formal complaint against the woman and her accomplices at Kharkhauda police station in Sonipat district.
The woman named as Anita is on the run while her two aides have been arrested.
