Bootlegger arrested with illicit liquor in Ganderbal

GANDERBAL:- Ganderbal Police arrested one bootlegger and recovered 15 bottles of illicit liquor recovered from his Possession at Gund area of Central kashmir’s Gandrbal district on Sunday evening.
Officials said that the information against the bootlegger, a Police Party of Police Station Gund laid a surprise naka at main market Gund and intercepted one person on suspicious ground.
Officials said during frisking, and questioning 15 bottles of illicit liquor of 750 ml each were recovered from his possession and the accused arrested on spot with illicit liquor was seized on the spot.
The accused person has been identified as Amjid Ahmad Khan son of Ghulam Muhammad Khan a resident of Munshi Krant Baramulla
In this regard a case FIR No. 1/2019 U/S 48-A Excise Act has been registered in Police station Gund.
The General public of the Gund area appreciated the prompt and swift action by SHO Gund Syed Arif Bukhari and Ganderbal Police to curb the menace in the area
