Body of drowned boy fished out in Nallah Sindh after four days
The body of a teenage boy who drowned in a canal last week during picnic was fished out from Sindh nallah in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district on Monday.
An official said Nadeem Bashir (14) of Hayan Kangan drowned while taking a bath in a power canal in Kijpora village of Kangan on August 23.
Locals, police and other agencies started a search operation immediately to trace him.
“The body of the teen was fished out from the nallah Sindh at Preng, one kilometer downstream from spot where he drowned,” said an official.
