At least three civilians injured in Pulwama clashes
SRINAGAR: At least three youth sustained injuries in government forces action after clashes broke out in the south town of Pulwama during a gunfight between militants and forces on Friday.
Sources in the district hospital Pulwama told Kashmir Reader that they received three injured youth and referred one among them to Bone and Joint Hospital, Srinagar for advanced treatment.
Earlier protesters pelted government forces with rocks and tried to disrupt their operation against the holed up militants in Pulwama.
A gunfight between militants and government forces broke out in Chatepora area of the town.
Local sources said that soon after the start of the gunfight the protesters started marching towards the gunfight site pelting stones on forces.
The government forces fired tear smoke shells and fired many shots in air to disperse the protesters.
