Assault on Pharmacist; Health Employees submit memorendum to Deputy Commissioner Band

BANDIPORA: Employees of Health department Bandipora today submitted memorendum to Deputy commissioner Bandipora against Block Medical Officer Bandipora for assaulting a Pharmacist yesterday in Bandipora.
Iqbal Hamid, a pharmacist yesterday alleged that he was assaulted by BMO at his office and threw a stool towards him for coming late to the office.
The memorandum submitted by health employees reads as,” With humble submission we the paramedical staff of district Bandipora approached your goodself to convey that all employees of health department Bandipora have decided not to work under the administrative control of Dr Ashfaq Hassan (Block Medical Officer Bandipora) as your goodself knows the situation better made by the said officer.
“Letter further reads that the said officer may be transffered from this block to avoid such incidents in future, moreover the behaviour of the said officer has always remained ill towards subordinate staff and patients. The said officer is not even signing the genuine documents like salaries and GP fund cases as well as casual leaves and earned leaves without bribe reads the Copy lying with this reporter.
Employees said that we approached Chief Medical Officer Bandipora Dr Tajamul Hussain several times regarding the inhuman behabiour of BMO Bandipora but he always turned a deaf ear towards our requests showing that he is shielding BMO Bandipora, they added that we have already registered a complaint in police station Bandipora against the said officer for physically assaulting senior colleague.
