Abducted girl recovered, accused arrested: Police

SRINAGAR: Jand Kashmir Police on Thursday claimed to have solved a kidnapping case of a girl in shortest possible time and arrested the accused involved in the crime.
A police spokesman in a statement said that Police Station Kothibagh received a complaint that a girl has been kidnapped.
“Bashir Ahmad stated that his daughter has been kidnapped by one Adil Ahmad Langoo son of Abdul Rehman a resident of Habakadal Srinagar,” said the spokesman.
“Acting swiftly on the complaint Srinagar Police recovered the kidnapped girl and also arrested the accused within 12hrs. After all legal formalities the girl was handed over to her legal heirs,” he said.
“Community members are requested to cooperate with police in curbing social crimes in their neighbourhood,” he added.
“Community members can share information pertaining to social crimes with police. We reassure the community members that our efforts in curbing social crimes shall continue,” said police spokesman in a statement.
