5 gamblers arrested by police Station Lalbazar, stake money recovered
SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir Police on Wednesday arrested a group of five gamblers and also recovered the stake money.
A Police party of Police Station Lalbazar, a spokespersons said, led by SHO Inspector GP Singh arrested group of five gamblers Shabir Ahmad Dhoobi son of Gh Rasool, a resident of Dhoobi Mohalla Botakadal; Bilal Ahmad Kungi son of Abdul Gani, a resident of Soura Owantabawan; Ishfaq Ahmad Baba son of Gh Nabi, aresident of Amdakadal Lalbazar; Javid Ahmad Mir son of Abdul Aziz, a resident of Botakadal; Kursheed Ahmad Bazaz son of Abdul Aziz, a resident of Alamdar colony B Lalbazar in a raid conducted at Behrar Baghwanpora. “Stake money of Rs 8,230 was also seized in addition to playing cards from the spot.”
A case under FIR No 72/2018 U/S 13 Gambling Act has been registered and investigation taken up.
