15-year-old Muslim boy set on fire for not chanting Jai Shri Ram in UP’s Chandauli

SRINAGAR:- A 15-year-old boy was set on fire by four people in Chandauli district of Uttar Pradesh. The teenager was allegedly forced to chant Jai Shri Ram.
The boy has been admitted in Kashi’s Kabir Chaura hospital. He is critical and has received 60 per cent burns.
The teenager was set on fire when he refused to chant Jai Shri Ram. He gave this statement on the hospital’s camera. However, according to the police his statements are contradictory.
The 15-year-old boy told Aaj Tak, “I was walking on Dudhari bridge when four men kidnapped me. Two of them tied my hand and third one started pouring kerosene. After which they set me on fire and ran away.”
According to the police, the teenager was already burnt when he reached his home. Police is treating this whole case as suspicious.
Police is probing the matter.
